The work samples here are from the EDS203 course. This course is one of the first courses students take when they enter the graduate Teacher Credential/M.Ed. program. The course is designed to introduce pre-service teachers to the interactive, productive, engaging tools currently being used in K-12 classroom.
This assignment is one of the capstone project of the course. Students asked to review the technology tools and supports that we introduced in the course. They create a classroom activity that makes use of one or more of the tools. They must take into consideration the learning objective of the activity, the California Content Standard being addressed, the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) student standards supported, and the SAMR level of the activity.
Creating a Technology Enhanced Class Activity
In this task you will be adapting or creating a classroom activity (any activity that you want) to include a technology component to support student learning, increase engagement, and model 21st century learning goals.
The activity document will asl you to identify the ISTE Standard(s) for students as well as the SAMR level that your activity uses. Review these websites for more information.
This is NOT an entire lesson plan, but rather one small task that could happen during/within the larger lesson. Think of this as something you might do during a class for 15-25 minutes.
Create activity form. Go to this Google Document
. make a copy if it in your Google Drive.
